@mountainmist50k was muddy. I like the color blue. My dog makes me happy. Running in the woods with friends also makes me happy. Wife not pictured, but she is the best. #runnrc #springtribe2019 Goals 1. Read/listen to 24 books. 19 for 2018. 2. 24 hours of trail work. I use the trails enough. I need to give back. 3. Volunteer at 5 races. Working an AS at an ultra is so much fun. 4. No more dairy. Been a vegetarian since 2014 but would still do cheese. Gonna cut out dairy in an attempt to offset my carbon emissions from driving so much. Cows are cute, but they emit a lot of methane. 5. Run 2,700 miles for an average of 52 miles per week. 2,426 in 2018 and 2,512 in 2017. 6. Learn to play the guitar. I grew up in a very musical family yet never persisted in trying to learn an instrument. If I can train for and run 100 miles, I can learn to play an instrument. 7. Sub 6:30 Art Loeb going south to north. Scariest goal. I’ve did the traverse 3 times as a fun run and want to give it an honest effort. This picture doesn’t have anything to do with goals. It’s just a tree that’s 1,000 years old, which is pretty neat.My stoic trail companion. The creeks and waterfalls were raging at Savage Gulf while the last bits of fall color were hanging on. @friendsofsouthcumberland #runnrc #springtribe #optoutside2019 Races

Bighorn 100
The 2017 edition of Bighorn, which takes place in the Bighorn mountains of Wyoming, served up some of the worst conditions in race history. Extended rain turned the course, already famous for its muddy sections, into an absolute mess that … Continue reading
